The climb does not require training in mountaineering technicalities. To ensure that the travelers are well accustomed to the climate, we cover our route to base camp over many days. This will also guarantee a thriving trekking trip for all. The view of Zanskar and Karakoram ranges from the Stok Kangri peak is unimaginably magnificent and brings the privilege of also viewing the second highest peak of the world, K2 laying at 8,611m. Stok Kangri Detailed Itinerary:

Day 1

Delhi to Leh (3,500m)

We fly from Delhi to Leh over a short span of an hour. The capital of Ladakh, Leh stands as the testimony to diverse richness of the region. The flight gives one the trailer to beauty that awaits them, with view of the K2. Landing at one of the world’s highest located airports, the day is spent acclimatizing to the climate. The main tasks include exploration of the monasteries and bazaars and resting at the hotel. The night is spent at our hotel.

Day 2

Leh

The purpose of our stay at Leh is to discover the local traditions and primarily, to ready the body for further trekking. To carry out physically strenuous activities at this elevation, a short-time day hike is planned. Stok Kangri snuggles at the other end of the valley and stands as the symbol of challenge awaiting us. The night is spent at the hotel.

Day 3

Leh to Zingchan (3,900m)

  • Duration: 5 to 6 hours
  • Intensity: Easy to moderate

The closest road accessible towards Stok Kangry is Spitok. A drive of over an hour drops us at Spitok that marks the beginning of our trekking journey. Initially, the walk for four hours is easy till Zingchan. The night is spent at camp.

Day 4

Stok La to Mankorma (4,900m)

  • Duration: 5 to 6 hours

The trekking journey covers region between Stok La Pass and Mankorma where we camp. Striking sights of the Himalayas strike the mind throughout the route.

Day 5

Mankorma to Base Camp (5,000m)

  • Duration: 4 to 5 hours

Starting the trek early morning, we reach the base camp ideally suited to rest and explore nearby regions. Following lunch, a short-distance walk prepares and acclimatizes the body better. Climbing over 100m, we turn back and reach the camp to catch up on early sleep to prepare for the next day’s endeavor towards summit.

Day 6

Base Camp to Stok Kangri (6,140m) to Base Camp (5,000m)

Duration: 10 hours

Gaining the chance at sight of sunrise and expending under the ideal weather conditions, our early morning trek takes up to a ridge which makes way for a majestic glacier. A steep ascent to the summit follows our passing of the glacier. This ascent is the most challenging and requires great amount of physical and mental vigor. Winning over this trial brings us the privilege of the overarching view of summit. The Karakoram Range, lingering to our north-west appears without bounds. You can also glimpse at the Zanskar range and Tibet pulsating at a distance. The fabric of white envelopes the experience, with astounding threads of peaks covered in snow.

Day 7

Spare Day at the Summit

Base Camp to Stok Village to Leh (3,500m)

  • Duration: 8 hours

Sprinkles with remains of ancient forts and castles, we move down to Stok village over a period of 6 hours. Vehicle for our transfer to Leh awaits us, along with a heartwarming meal and well-deserved drinks of the hotel.

Day 9

Base Camp to Stok Village to Leh (3,500m)

  • Duration: 8 hours

Sprinkles with remains of ancient forts and castles, we move down to Stok village over a period of 6 hours. Vehicle for our transfer to Leh awaits us, along with a heartwarming meal and well-deserved drinks of the hotel.

Day 10

Leh to Khardungla to Leh

  • Distance: 40kms
  • Duration: 2 hours
  • Elevation to: 5,600m

The Khardung-La Pass forms the climax of our trekking trip, posing a challenge of firming our bodies to an overwhelming 5,600m. The motor vehicle brings us to heavenly abode- gracing us with God’s eye view of Himalayas, covering the Indus Valley to the south swinging over to the Zanskar range and Sesser Massif to the north. The end of this traveling will be a certified testimony from the mountains about the strength of your body and mind. A hunger-quenching delicious dinner is followed by a night of rest, readying for return to Delhi the next day.

Day 11

Leh to Delhi

We bid our farewells at the airport hoping to have your presence with us soon. The Himalayas come back with you in memories and the windows of your flights bring to you a flashback of your trip through the Himalayan lap.
